(4) The kicking strap/boom vang shall be led only to the chainplates, cabin top and/or the mast above the partners.

Doesn’t the vang consist of all its running rigging, including any vang control lines, all the way to the cleat? If so, any vang control lines leading below deck to the keel and to the console would be in violation of the rule. Maybe if the control lines are lead direct from the mast bale to the bridge area, that would comply. Seems like this rule needs rewording to cover how most boats are actually set up.
