Signup for Fleet 27 & Class Membership
(i.e., Register Yourself, your Boat, and your Crew)

It’s dues payment time and Fleet 27 is happy to announce a new streamlined process that we have worked out with the help of Etchells NA.  This will reduce paperwork and allow for signing up or renewing in a single transaction and the ability to pay by credit card.  Please use this link to register your 2023 membership in IECA and in Fleet 27.

BUT… PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL NOTICES BEFORE VISITING THE ETCHELLS PAYMENT SITE

DUE DATE

Pay your dues by May 8 in order to insure that we have a record of your paid up status before the start of racing.  If you will be starting racing later, please pay your dues a week before racing. If you have already paid national dues before the Etchells site was updated to include local dues, you will need to send Rich a $150 check for local dues, if you have not done so already.

HULL CERTIFICATES

When you enroll on the Etchells site you will be asked to attest that you have a hull certificate in your name for your boat. If you are new to the fleet or have obtained a new boat, but have not obtained a proper certificate, please use the link to obtain an up to date certificate:

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR CO-OWNERS OR SYNDICATES

Fleet 27 requires that co-owners and/or all members of a syndicate join the local fleet as associate members for $20 each. This also applies to anyone who will be driving your boat 5 or more races in the season.  The Etchells site only allows for Associates who are paying national and local dues. Therefore, if your co-owners/syndicate members only want to pay the required local dues, please send Rich the $20 payment(s).  If these associates want to pay national dues also, that can be done on the Etchells site ($75 combined Associate dues)

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR SAILORS ELIGIBLE FOR FREE LOCAL DUES:

For the several of you that have earned free local dues for 2023 through your generous purchase of $1000 or more of sails, please note that the Etchells site only provides for a combined payment of $350 for national and local dues.  If you will be launching at PYS, I’ll use the extra $150 to pay for the launch. If you are not launching through PYS, please tell me that and Rich will promptly refund you the $150 by a check.

EVIDENCE OF INSURANCE and PYS LAUNCH

To qualify for racing, each boat owner is required to give the Treasurer of the Fleet evidence of liability insurance showing at least $300,000 of coverage.  You can either send Rich a paper copy or email the evidence. Many insurance companies offer policy holders the option of emailing the evidence directly to a third party.

Finally, if you are launching at PYS on May 13, please send Rich $150 so it is received prior to May 13.  You can include that with your evidence of insurance.

Thanks for your patience and understanding as we try to streamline the dues payment process.   If you have questions or an issue or special situation which has not been covered, please feel free to contact Rich.
