More Cowbell Dominates 1st Tuesday Evening of 2020
Good morning troops,
Yesterday was novel and not in a Corona sort of way. Fleet 27 started its 2020 season in style. For this season’s first keel boat racing on Casco Bay, we had sunshine, warmth, some exposed skin, sunscreen, and little worries about PFD usage. Five boats made it to the starting area ably run by Theo Corson along with Karen, Sarah, and Jay on the RC vessel Red.

Your PRO for the evening will be Jay Corson aboard Red and we will have a mark boat as well. Be prepared to use government marks as well as drop marks, depending on the wind.

Great news!
The Director of the Maine Office of Outdoor Recreation has approved a change in the guidance document as it pertains to launch capacity. The change allows launches to carry up to the USCG passenger limits as long as passengers and crew wear face coverings if they can’t maintain the physical distancing of 6 feet apart. With this change in capacity, Handy Boat can discontinue the reservation requirement starting Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
