Sign up for Etchells racing on Sunday (June 24)

Is there interest in starting a Sunday afternoon Etchells race series? I am looking for participation from at least 4 or 5 other boats.

The proposal (subject to Fleet 27 input) is as follows:

1) First race on June 24 (date subject to change)
2) Warning at 2:30 PM
3) A simplified Rabbit (Gate) start will avoid the need for a Race Committee
4) No race will start after 4:30 PM
5) Subject to interest, continue the Sunday series as often as participants desire, maybe every other week?

It would be good if we could obtain the use of a speedy mark boat, especially if we have no R/C, then someone from one of the Etchells could speed out to the race area and set a couple marks. Then anchor the mark boat as a starting boat. Their boat would pick them up off the markboat prior to the starting sequence.

Sunday, Aug 26 – just an absolutely gorgeous day to be sailboat racing today on Casco Bay. Hard to believe no one else wants to race their Etchells on Sunday afternoons.
