Class Rules E.2.2:

E.2.2 CERTIFICATION
(a) Fundamental measurement shall form part of the certification of the hull

Section E specifies rules for hull appendages. E.2.2, as written, specifies a hull requirement and probably should be moved to section D.2. Maybe this requirement should apply also to the hull appendages. Not sure exactly what the rule intends, though. It seems kind of vague, unspecific, and therefore meaningless. FYI – the ERS defines “fundamental measurement” as follows:

C.4.1 Fundamental Measurement
The methods used as the primary means to establish the physical properties of
equipment.
