Dave Perry writes the definitive books on the racing rules of sailing and he provides enjoyable and informative clinics to help folks improve on the race course. Fleet 27 is trying provide Casco Bay sailors with the opportunity to see Dave in person this July at a clinic held at PYC and on the waters of Casco Bay.
If you would pay to participate in one of Dave Perry’s race clinics at the end of July, please drop an e-mail to the Fleet Captain. The notional program includes a rules/tactics seminar on a Monday evening and on-the-water observations/coaching of our Tuesday Evening Etchells racing along with a post race debrief (with video) of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Fleet Captain is exploring acceptable pricing levels and how many people will participate. The Monday evening seminar will be a ticketed affair. Ideally, everyone racing that Tuesday evening would share equally in the benefits and the cost of Dave Perry’s coaching that evening.

At last! Dave is a uniquely talented speaker. And he’s probably forgotten more about the sport than anybody else knows. Absolutely worthwhile.
