Casco Bay served up light winds for the evening of July 31, which allowed one race to be completed in 5-7 kts from SE. Sixteen boats showed up for the start, the largest number of boats to date in 2018. With 5 weeks of no racing since the last start, the aggressive fleet forced a General Recall at the first start. The second start was more orderly, with just Black Sheep over early. Schadenfreude got off the start line at full speed to lead the race wire-to-wire from the left side of the course. Red Stripe was a close second, followed by the usual suspects some distance further astern. A summary of the season results are here.
