Beautiful day to start weight reduction on my Etchells. Cut off some 60 pounds so far. Way better ventilation and shorter turning radius.

This is sure beginning to sound like the super stealth submarine’s Red October “caterpillar drive” propulsion system! (There may need to be a rule change discussion)
Glass in the floorboards for a double bottom – no bilge pumps needed and you can sit wherever you like!-)
The real weight saving is the keel removal, she’ll be a rocket ship down wind.
Looks like great idea for choppy seas: if you pull the bulkheads, swells, waves and chop will pass right through! No need for ring frame at all!
Do you think we ‘ll need a second bilge pump or do we just sit further aft!
That’s one way to install a ring frame.
No overlap, no room.
Now it’s a “real” hole in the water in which to pour all your money. May I suggest renaming her Wet Hawk!!!!
