Pot Luck in Preparation for 2023 Season

Hello Fleet

Like Jake said to Elwood, “let’s get the band back together”.

April 18th is the day.  6:00 pm is the time.  PYC is the place.  Let’s have another Pot luck gathering to kick off the season.   I’m going to get access to the building at 5:30 so if you would like a few minutes to set up your goodies please come in.  Our new fleet captain, Jack Zinn, will have fleet captain stuff to talk about.  The spring launch will be discussed.  Rich will have his fingers on the pulse of the fleet purse.  And Seth will likely have something to say about the Sailing Instructions and Notice of Race.  We’ll find out what each of you have been doing in the off season.

Please check the distribution list.  If you have crew members that you would like me to add, I will be happy to do so.  Please invite your whole crew to join us.

Let’s divide the responsibilities as in the past, using sail numbers.

3-700               Dessert
701-1140        Appetizer/Salad Main Course
1141-1400      Main Course

  • If you are a syndicate – all syndicate members are expected to bring an offering
  • If you have multiple owners – all owners are expected to bring an offering
  • If you own multiple boats – boat owners are expected to bring food offering for each bow number

Bring Your Own Beverages.

If you have any questions please email me.

See you then

  1. Last night (Mar 28th) we had the Sail Sale and Pizza bash. Tim, Rich, Jay and Pete got things set up at PYC. We missed seeing a lot of you there. The pizza was fresh and the drinks were cold. Some really nice sails were sold and Fleet 27 benefited from the purchase.

Special thanks should be given to the Butter Boyz and Pressure Drop for making the connections that brought these sails to our fleet.

Boat owners and skippers, please let me know if others should be invited. It would be fun to have a good turnout for our Spring pot luck gathering.

Hope to see you all there.
    Jeff
