I thought it would be a good idea to get together on Zoom to discuss a number of issues (below) before our normal Spring Meeting. So, on February 22 at 17:00 I look forward to seeing all your smiling faces so we can catch up. I will send out the details for the Zoom connection in a week or so.
Proposed Agenda
We have a number of topics we should talk about before our normal Spring Meeting. Here is a proposed list of thoughts. Let me know what you might like to add, delete, or expound on.
- A reminder that you still have lots of time to get your sail #’s right on your sails.
- Should we have a weekend race series including existing races around govt. marks, additional races windward/leeward, or others?
- Should we consider “rain” dates if we lose a number of Tuesday nights?
- What would we like the social/event schedule to look like.
- What should our relationship look like with Etchells NA. I think we need to develop a list or proposal as to what support we expect them to provide. What should they be doing to support local fleets. I think that they need to seriously change their focus from the professional side to the Corinthian side. Would a monthly news letter be helpful? It has been suggested that the Ensign Class might be a model. Looking forward to your thoughts.
- We will need to talk about our Spring Launch as Handy now will charge $331 each way for launching and hauling.
